    Deceased Name: Rachel Hunt Caison

Rachel Hunt Caison, 73, of Burgaw passed gently from her earthly life to her eternal rest on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 at her home.

She was born Jan. 3, 1940 in Bladen County, the daughter of the late Robert Tolson and Nellie Bramble Hunt. Also lovingly remembered are her sisters, Marion Bradford, Beth Sewell and Victor Colvin; Beth and Victor being twins, all who preceded Rachel in death.

Rachel is survived by her husband, Ray Caison; daughter, Terry Pigford (Bryan) of Watha; son, Ted Crews of Wilmington; grandchildren, Corey Pigford (fiancée, Amanda White), Garret Pigford and Laken Crews; great grandchildren, Ashton, Tristan and Braxton Pigford; sister, Carolyn Hunt of Wallace; many extended family and friends, all who loved Rachel.

Rachel was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a caring and giving lady, always seeing to the needs of others, especially her sister, Carolyn. Her radiant smile and friendship brought joy into the lives of both family and friends. Being a first class helpmate to Ray, Rachel would help him tackle and complete many home projects; they worked together in every area of their lives.

Rachel leaves a legacy of hope, love and steadfast faith in Jesus Christ for us to remember and abide by.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with the Rev. William Hill Pearsall and Chaplain Rick Howell officiating. Burial followed in Atkinson Cemetery.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 a.m. until hour of the service.

Rachel's family would like to thank Amanda, Alicia, and the staff of Community Home Care and Hospice for their excellent, compassionate care of Rachel and support given to them during Rachel's illness and passing.
