  	John William “Bo” Lanier 84, of Metter died Tuesday morning at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. The Candler County native has lived here all his life and was a retired farmer. He attended Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Ones and Cora Lee Powell Lanier, a sister Pauline Donaldson, and infant great-grandson Benjamin Chandler Price. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Mary Elizabeth Williams Lanier and daughters Barbara Lanier Mercer; Janice Lanier Wells all of Metter. He is also survived by his sister Jeannette Lanier Aldrich of Metter, 4 grandchildren Michelle Mercer (Jimmy) Millsaps, Angela Price, Cynthia Olivia (Benji) Price and Heather (Shawn) Calvert; also surviving are 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday May 22, 2014, 2:00pm at Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Tommy Rountree and Elder Sam Bowen officiating. The body will lie in state from 12:00pm until the time of the service. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until time of services at 2:00pm at Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Shawn Calvert, Michael Coursey, Jim Donaldson, Jimmy Millsaps, Jerry Williams and Kenny Williams.
