In the name of God Amen
I Charity Caison of the County of Sampson and state of North Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory ... on this first day of January one thousand eight hundred and eight do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say first and ... to my son-in- law Jonathan Fryer five shillings to him and his heirs.
Item I give and bequeath to my son Hillery Cason five shillings to him and his heirs
Item I give and bequeath to my son Cannon Cason five shillings to him and his heirs
Item I give and bequeath to my son Miles Cason five shillings to him and his heirs
Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Laodicea Chestnutt five shillings to her and her heirs
Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Jean Cason my Negro woman named Cloe and all the rest of my property of each and every parcel and kind whatsoever I give and bequeath to be equally divided between my daughter Polly Cason and my said daughter Jean Cason to them and their heirs and I do hereby appoint my son Cannon Cason Executer to this my last will and testament. In witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seal this day and date first mentioned.
