  	Donnie Berry Pitts age 79, of Jacksonville formerly of Keystone Heights passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Community Hospice, Earl B. Hadlow Center in Jacksonville. Mr. Pitts was born in Chauncey, Georgia on May 14, 1933 to the late Benjamin and Annie Maude (Stapleton) Pitts. He was a Korean War Veteran serving with the United States Army and was also of the Baptist Faith. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Pitts was in management and programming for a Sheet Metal Company. He was an avid golfer, a member of the Keystone Heights Golf and Country Club where he was also was the grounds keeper at one time, and was a wonderful husband and father. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice (Hodges), 2 brothers; William and Jack, and his sister; Faustine Horne. Survivors are his two sons; Doyle William Pitts and Mark Phillip Pitts (Peggy) all of Keystone Heights, one sister; Audrey Ingram of Bostwick, four grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and his companion of 15 years; Pat Carter of Jacksonville. A memorial service for Mr. Pitts will be held at a later date. Burial will be at a later date in Georgia. Arrangements are under the care of JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME, 340 E. WALKER DR.
