- Adolphus Charles, 59, of Lake City, FL. died on Sunday, September 8th at the Lake City Medical Center following an extended illness.
Adolphus was a native of Lake City, FL. and worked in the Concrete Business most of his adult life. He is the son of the late Clifford F. Charles and is proceeded in death by his 4 brothers Freddie, Don, Lavern (LC) and Jesse all of Lake City.
Survivors include his mother Louise Charles of Lake City; 2 sons: Adolphus Charles, Jr. (Punk) Charles of Lake City, and Eric Charles (Lynne) of South Carolina; 3 daughters: Leslie Charles Nettles (Steve) and Brittany Charles Stalvey (Matt) of Lake City, and Kelley Charles of South Carolina; 4 brothers: Robert Charles of Fall River, MA, JR Charles and Dickey Charles both of Lake City, and Larry Charles of Chatsworth, GA.; 4 sisters: Beverly Folsom of Perry, FL., Debbie Charles of Lake City, FL., Cheryl Olive of Apollo Beach, FL., and Kay Charles of Lake City, FL. Numerous Grandchildren and Loyal Friend John Herb.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Gateway Forest to the family of Leslie Charles Nettles.
Celebration services will be held Friday, September 13, 2013 at 11 AM in the Chapel at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
