- Paul Gerald Sorensen (better known as Papa), 81, of Leesburg, Fl., died Sunday (January 23, 2022), at his Leesburg home surrounded by loved ones.
A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, moved to Florida 58 years ago, was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Worked at Sumter Electric for 43 years. Hobbies included wood working, feeding wild birds, caring for his favorite cat Midnight.
He is survived by Theresa Sorensen (Wife), Paul Sorensen (Son), Angela Levanduski (Daughter), Jared Sorensen (Son), Long Lam (Son), Joyce Fellows (Sister), Dennis Sorensen (Brother), 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren and to a multitude of others he was known as their Papa.
The viewing will be held on January 27, 2022, between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home, 1123 West Main Street, Leesburg, Fl. 34748
There will be an additional viewing at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1875 Mount Vernon Road, Leesburg, Fl. 34748, on January 28, 2022, from 9:30 am to 10 am, followed by the Funeral Service at 10 am. with the interment at the Lone Oak Cemetery following service at 306 Thomas Ave, Leesburg, Fl. 34748
