- Etta Mae McKeithan Little was born February 13, 1920, in Brunswick County. She entered into eternal rest May 7, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Jasper Sylvester Mckeithan and Charity Caison.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, James Franklin Little; a son, James Maurice Little, a grandson in-law, John Luke; brother, James McKeithan and sisters, Melissa McKeithan, Bessie Smith, Ada Edwards, Molene Mckeithan and Lois Mckeithan and nephew, Boyd Lee Smith.
She is survived by two daughters; Thelma Little of Ash, NC, Christine Vereen and husband Pearly of Ash, NC; daughter in-law, Diane Ganus Little of Ash, NC; grandchildren, Cheryl Luke of Wilmington, Brian Little and wife Janet of Ash and Whitney Little of Ash, NC. She leaves four great- grandchildren, Alex Luke, Madison Little, James Brian “Buddy” Little, and Julia Little; one niece, Linda Hewett (Jan); three nephews, Nathan Edwards (Doris), Milton Smith(Rosie) and Ronnie McKeithan (Elizabeth) and one special “sister”, Janet Hughes as well as many cousins and friends.
She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves many happy memories of her love for her family, church and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday May 9, 2014 at 1pm at New Life Baptist Church with Reverend Clayton Rivenbark and Reverend Bob Rea officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Thursday evening May 8, 2014 at White
