He was born in Macclenny, Florida on December 27, 1929 to the late John W. Rowe and Minnie Belle Rowe. Mr. Rowe was life long resident of Baker County and a member of First Baptist Church of Macclenny. He retired from Gulf Life Insurance Company in 1987 and served in the United States Navy from 1948-1952. He enjoyed golfing, camping, and playing the harmonica. Family members include his wife of 52 years Bobbie Sue Rowe; children: Patricia D. Bennett of Macclenny, FL, and Julie R. Lee of Albany, GA; brother Cecil B. Rowe of Nashville, TN; sisters: Marjorie Sharp of Daytona Beach, FL and Lucille Klingensmith of Jacksonville, FL; and three grandchildren: Justin Bennett, Brooklyn Bennett and Chelsea Lee. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ferreira Chapel with Pastor Sam Kitching officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Macclenny. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ferreira Chapel. Contributions may be made to the Baker County Council on Aging Building Fund at 101 E.
