Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Smyrna United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Tal Madison officiating. She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening and shopping. Doris was a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Bessie Chavis Wilkes. She was preceded in death by sisters, Mildred McDonald, Margie Ford, Helen Kennedy, Ada Wiles, Josephine Purvis; brothers, Woodrow Wilkes, Carl Wilkes, Grant Wilkes, Ted Wilkes. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Grady Hussey; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Kennedy Funeral Home.
