- Mr. Seeber Ray Johnson, 71, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Health Center of Lake City Following an extended illness. He was born March 16, 1944 in Union County, Florida. He served in the United States Army as an Air Bourn Ranger in Vietnam.
He returned to Lake City to work in purchasing at the VA Hospital until he retired. He also worked as an electrician for Norton Home Builders. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking, spending time with friends and family, and watching his grandchildren play sports. He was preceded in death by his father Carl Johnson; his wife Annetta Johnson and his two sisters, Liz Hill and Mary Shaw.
He is survived by his mother, Gracie Johnson, one daughter Julie Carswell (Linc), one son Tim Johnson (Katie), one brother, Jerry Johnson, Sr. all of Lake City, FL. seven grandchildren also survive Alexis Hartsfield (Brian), Tallahassee, FL; Walker Johnson, Caleb, Carlie, and Kylie Carswell, Jackson and Maddyn Johnson, all of Lake City. and one great grandchild Hampton Hartsfield, He is also, survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 A.M. on Saturday August 15, 2015 at Mount Carmel Baptist with Reverend Richard Cason officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to service time at the church. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor cemetery in Lake City, FL.
