Arthur Rudolph Hatch, 85, died peacefully on March 21, 2011, at Haven Hospice in Lake City, Florida.

Born to Robert E. and Mamie Hatch, Mr. Hatch was a long-time resident of Branford. After service in the Army Air Corps during WW II, Mr. Hatch married Kathryn (Kitty) McQueen of Jacksonville, Florida, and returned home. Rudolph and his brother, Leon, owned several successful businesses in the Branford area, including the Western Auto Store, Hatch Enterprises, Inc., Hatch Land and Timber, Inc., Suwannee Lime Company, and Branford Sales, Inc.

Rudolph was active in community affairs and received numerous awards recognizing his contributions. In memory of their parents, Rudolph and Leon donated land to the town of Branford to build Hatch Park for the benefit of the community.

Mr. Hatch was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Kitty McQueen Hatch; brothers Robert E. Hatch, Jr. and Leon Hatch; and a sister, Doris Hatch Long. Survivors include his children: Sandra Hatch Anusavice (Ken); Randy Hatch (Glenda); Sharon Hatch Mitchell; and Joel Hatch (Cynthia). Mr. Hatch is also survived by ten grandchildren: Jill Anusavice Knight (Drogo); Joel Anusavice (Ellie); Ryan Hatch; Jay Hatch; Heather Hatch McInnis (Josh); Chrissy Mitchell Elshire (Vance); Jeff Mitchell; Joel Benjamin Hatch; Cheyenne Hatch; and Dakotah Hatch; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Jean Daughtry (Palmer) of Lake City; his brother-in-law, Young McQueen (Linda) of Jacksonville; and two sisters-in-law, Shirley Hatch, Branford, and Peggy Hatch, Jacksonville; and many nieces and nephews.

Daniels Funeral Home of Branford has been entrusted with the final arrangements. Funeral services will be held at the Living Springs Family Worship Center, 26471 SR 247, Branford, Florida. Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26th. Visitation will be held at Daniels Funeral Home in Branford on Friday, March 25th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Kathryn (Kitty) McQueen Hatch
Kathryn McQueen Hatch of Branford died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004. She was 77.

Mrs. Hatch was born in Jacksonville and moved to Branford in 1949. She was co-founder of the Branford Western Auto Store, Hatch Enterprises, Inc. and Branford Sales, Inc. She was also a real estate agent with Branford Realty for a number of years.
"Miss Kitty", as she was affectionately known, was active in community affairs for much of her life. She served as president of the Branford PTA, taught Sunday school at the First Baptist Church of Branford, and volunteered for countless local projects.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Arthur Rudolph Hatch, daughters Sandra (Kenneth) Anusavice of Gainesville. Sharon Mitchell of Marianna; sons, Randy (Glenda) Hatch of Branford and Joel (Julie) Hatch of Valencia, CA. She also leaves a brother, Young (Linda) McQueen of Fruit Cove along with 11 grandchildren, Jill and Joel Anusavice of Gainesville, Ryan Hatch of Lake City, Jay Hatch of Gainesville, Heather Hatch of New York City, Dr. Chrissy Mitchell of Gainesville, Jeff Mitchell of West Palm Beach, Joel Benjamin Hatch, Cheyenne Hatch, Dakota Hatch and Jonathan Stein of Valencia, CA. She was also blessed with two great grandchildren, Amber Hatch of Branford and Rory Hatch of Lake City.
